Salira allow effective FTTx

Salira allow effective FTTx

June 13, 2016

Salira Systems, Inc’s new release of the DOCSIS over EPON solution will allow effective FTTx offerings from cable operators.

The DePON™ solution will be used to migrate fiber-based networks.

The new solution differs from the traditional HFC-based solutions due to its power to increase bandwith and by providing symmetrical capacity of 4Gbps per fiber feeder.

The DePON™ solution enables operators a migration path to high-capacity fiber-based networks, allowing operators the opportunity to gain a bigger market share with residential customers, in a cost effective manner.

With consumers expecting ever more from their operators, the DePON solution seems to be the answer, offering an almost never ending supply of bandwidth.

The DePon solution doesn’t just provide leverage to gain residential customers either. With its point-to-multipoint solutions being more economical compared to point-to-point configurations, the commercial market is also available for operators to gain a bigger market share, while using this solution.
